The terms that govern our website and your participation in our tours.

Welcome to the website of Anza-Idyllwild Outdoor Adventures LLC (“AIOA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By browsing this website or booking a guided tour with us, you (“Guest,” “Client,” “User”) agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing a reservation.

Website Use and Intellectual Property

  • The content, media, text, images, and layout on this website are the property of AIOA and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.
  • You may use this site solely for personal, non-commercial purposes to view information and book reservations. Unauthorized scraping, copying, or reproduction of website elements is strictly prohibited.

Booking, Payments, and Cancellations

By booking a tour, you agree to our standard payment and cancellation schedules:

  • Payment: Full payment or a designated deposit (as specified at checkout) is required to secure your tour reservation.
  • Guest Cancellations:
    • Cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to the scheduled tour date will receive a full refund minus a 10% administrative processing fee.
    • Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours prior will receive a 50% refund or a full digital credit for a future tour.
    • Cancellations made 24 hours prior, as well as “no-shows” on the day of the tour, are entirely non-refundable.
  • Operator Cancellations (Weather & Safety): AIOA operates in dynamic, outdoor environments. We reserve the right to cancel or alter itineraries due to extreme weather, trail closures by the U.S. Forest Service or local authorities, or safety hazards. If AIOA cancels a tour, guests will be offered a priority rescheduling date or a 100% full refund.

Tour Participation and Vehicle Requirements

  • Liability Waiver Required: Participation in any AIOA guided tour is strictly conditional upon all guests completing and signing our official Digital Liability and Release Waiver prior to departure. Failure or refusal to execute the waiver will result in cancellation of the tour without a refund.
  • AIOA Jeep Rental Requirements: To operate or drive a rented AIOA fleet Jeep, the designated driver must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Driver’s License, and provide proof of valid personal auto insurance coverage.
  • Participant Vehicle (“Bring Your Own Rig”) Requirements: If you are participating in a tour using your personal 4x4 vehicle, you must possess a valid Driver’s License and valid vehicle insurance. Additionally, your vehicle must pass a mandatory on-site safety inspection conducted by AIOA staff prior to trail departure. The routes are ideal for mid-size vehicles. Bringing a full-size or lifted vehicle will result in body and paint damage from forest trees, brush and debris. AIOA reserves the right to deny trail access to any personal vehicle that fails to meet safety standards, without a refund.
  • Substance & Safety Policy: The consumption of alcohol or recreational substances immediately prior to or during any tour is strictly prohibited.
  • Authority of the Guide: To ensure the safety of the entire group, all participants must strictly follow the instructions, trail rules, and safety briefings given by the AIOA Lead Guide. AIOA reserves the right to terminate a guest’s participation mid-tour without a refund if their behavior or vehicle management is deemed reckless, unsafe, or disruptive to the group.

Equipment and Personal Property

  • Guests are solely responsible for their personal belongings (phones, cameras, sunglasses, etc.) brought on the tour. AIOA is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal gear.
  • Any damage to AIOA property or vehicles resulting from gross negligence or intentional misuse by a guest will be the financial responsibility of that guest.

Media Release

By participating in our tours, you acknowledge that AIOA staff may capture photographs or video footage for promotional, marketing, and social media purposes. If you prefer that your image or likeness not be used in our marketing materials, please notify your guide in writing prior to the start of the tour.

Limitation of Liability

Outdoor adventure activities involve inherent risks. AIOA, its owners, and its guides work diligently to mitigate hazards, but cannot eliminate them entirely. By purchasing a tour, you acknowledge that AIOA is not liable for personal injury, property damage, or delays resulting from natural terrain conditions, wildlife encounters, or events outside our direct operational control.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any legal disputes arising from website use or tour bookings shall be handled exclusively in the courts of Riverside County, California.
